Volleyball showdown looming?

Barring an upset, it appears that Salinas and Palma will go into next week's league finale tied for first when the two neighboring schools meet.
 So what's new?
 Salinas and Palma were undefeated in league when they clashed in football, battled for first place in their first meeting on the basketball court.
 The difference this time is a title will be decided, assuming neither slips up tonight.
 Salinas, who faces Seaside tonight, has rattled off seven straight wins since falling to Christopher behind the efforts of Tyler Hutchinson, Jacob Butorac and Justin Tang.
 The defending champion Chieftains, who meet Watsonville, have rattled off five straight wins, four by sweeps. Toby Wisner and Shane Folck have carried the attack at the net.
