You know about Oregon University bound Marisa Given and Sarah Muzik, who is headed to Hawaii on a softball scholarship.
 But did you know home runs this spring for Notre Dame have come from Lauren Pullara, Alexia Torculas and Rachel Reimal?
 Or that Brittany Plascencia and Spencer Hyosaka are among the team leaders in runs batted in along with Pullara?
 While Given and Muzik are the heartbeat of the Spirits, this is a potent lineup from top to bottom that has rattled off eight straight wins going into today's battle with Gilroy.
 The Spirits are averaging 8.4 runs a game this spring, or 10 runs a game during their current eight game winning streak.
 Lost in the hitting assault has been the pitching of freshman Vanessa Gonzalez, who has tossed three shutouts in her last four outings for the two-time defending CCS Division III champions.
