Jayla Scholis

 The sophomore sprinter continues to trim time this spring in the sprints for the Cal track and field team, clocking 11.86 seconds in the 100 meters and 24.88 in the 200.
 Scholis, who won the Northern California 100 meter title last year at Monterey Peninsula College, is also running legs on both the Bears' 400 and 1,600 relay teams.
 Scholis went to the CIF State championships at Seaside in 2013 and 2014, winning the Central Coast Section 100 meter title as a senior and the 200 title as a junior.
