Catalina-Monterey softball

 This game intrigue me.
 Assuming the rain subsides this morning, these are two teams with seven freshmen on their rosters.
 The biggest difference is Monterey plays in the Gabilan Division while the Cougars are making a run at a fifth straight Mission Trail Athletic League title.
 That and Santa Catalina isn't starting seven freshmen like Monterey is.
 In fact, the Cougars have five returning starters in their lineup, including four year starter Vanessa Furman, as well as New Mexico State bound junior Tatumn Satow.
 The Toreadores do have one of the more potent hitters in the county in junior Gina Bruno while Catie Montante has two homers.
 Where Monterey has struggled is at home, where it has dropped three of its last four games at Jacks Parks -- the site of today's game.
