Silver Creek-North Salinas girls hoops

CCS Division I semifinals
Wednesday's game
No. 4 Silver Creek (15-10) vs. No. 1 North Salinas (22-2) at Piedmont Hills, 5:30 p.m.
Are the Vikings taking us on another magical ride through the postseason?
 Why not?
It's virtually the same team that won a CCS D1 girls title last year, and reached the quarterfinals of the State Northern California D1 tournament.
North Salinas comes into its semifinal battle having rattled off 14 straight wins, although it clearly had some rust from a 10-day layoff in a 63-55 win over Homestead last Saturday.
Silver Creek finished in a tie for fourth in the Mount Hamilton Division, yet looked good in a 57-41 win over Gabilan Division runner-up San Benito.
Madison Hotchkiss and Kiarra Lynch are both averaging 10.1 points a game for the Raiders, who have 115 3-point goals this year.
While Alyssa Springs is dropping in nearly 17 points a game for North Salinas, this is a team that  has numerous scoring options.
Among them are Nicole Hermosillo-Wright, Jordyn Enos, Monae Hobson and Aliyah Urzua.
