Pacific Grove-Stevenson baseball

 If there is one team that has been a thorn in the Breakers side over the last three years, it has been Stevenson, who beat them twice during Pacific Grove's 2012 CCS title run and once last year.
 In their Mission Trail Athletic League opener on Wednesday, it took a wild three-run seventh inning for Pacific Grove to escape with a 5-4 win at home.
 Now the two teams meet again today in Pebble Beach, where Stevenson is 2-2 against Pacific Grove in its last four meetings.
 Having your two leading hitters back from last season in Long Beach State bound Chris Fife and Anthony Coppla provide a punch at the top of the Pacific Grove's lineup.
 Returning all-leaguer Brad Powers and Nick Chancellor are two big bats in the Stevenson lineup. Another arm may be needed to compliment Powers on the hill.
