Notre Dame-St. Francis girls hoops

CCS Division V finals
Friday's game
No. 2 Notre Dame (19-7) vs. No. 1 St. Francis Catholic (18-9) at Notre Dame de Namur, 6 p.m.
The reigning two-time Central Coast Section Division V champion Sharks are gunning for a three-peat, having beaten two postseason opponents by a combined score of 122-59.
The two teams haven't faced each other since Dec. 29, 2012 when St. Francis held on for a 43-39 win over Notre Dame in a tournament.
The Pacific Division champions come into the title game riding a season high seven-game winning streak, catapulting them into their first finals appearance in 10 years.
While the Spirits have relied on 3-point artist Marisa Given and point guard Sarah Muzik to carry the offense, production in the paint has been evident during their winning streak.
In Wednesday's win over Stevenson, Kyleigh White produced 10 points while Sarah Nino has been a force on the boards.
Still the offense runs through Given and Muzik, both three year starting guards. Given is coming off a 24-point outing in which she buried four 3-point goals.
Notre Dame is 16-0 this year when holding teams under 40 points. The Sharks are 0-6 when held to 40 points or less.
