North Salinas-Salinas track

 Five teams believe they're title contenders in the Gabilan Division for girls track.
 Two of them square off today when North Salinas puts its undefeated record on the line at Salinas.
 While Salinas has an advantage in the distance events behind Leah Meuter and its depth, the Vikings can make up points by sweeping the relays.
 The strength of North Salinas, however, is in the field where Elizabeth Alcala was a CCS finalist last year in the discus. So was Nicole Hermosillo-Wright in the long jump, but she's out with a hamstring injury.
 There are at least eight events where you could flip a coin. These teams are that close.
