King City baseball

The future appears bright and promising for the Mustangs.
 But has it arrived early?
Opening the season with six straight wins would suggest this is a team prepared to contend today.
Particularly when you outscore the opposition 50-12.
Yet, while five sophomores and two freshmen make up the roster, this is still a team that will rely on seniors Ulysses Arellano and Jordan Silva on the mound and at the plate.
The Mustangs, who have two games this week with defending MTAL champion Carmel, closed last season with wins over the Padres and Pacific Grove.
That win over Carmel snapped an 11-game losing streak.
Has that momentum carried over into this spring?
Clearly when you start 6-0, it creates confidence. Still, what King City needs is a signature win to elevate itself.
