The former Monterey High seven-sport standout begins his senior season at the University of Hawaii as a four-year starting second baseman.
Having played in 138 games for the Warriors, Ventimilia has started 131, hitting a career high .296 last spring.Ventimilia has scored 94 runs and has 141 hits in his collegiate career. As a freshman in 2012, he lead the Western Athletic Conference in stolen bases, and has 33 for his career.
Ventimilia was The Herald's Baseball Player of the Year in 2011.
