Palma-Salinas hoops

 I guess the plan was to play defense.
 Which both teams did.
 But a 34-27 Palma final -- 12-11 at the half?
 Boys basketball?
 I'm not sure a game like that helped either team going into the playoffs.
 Or, maybe Palma proved that it can play any style and adapt, which will be important, assuming it is ticketed to the Open Division playoffs at Sunday's seeding meeting.
 Salinas has too many scoring options to be held to 27 points -- its lowest total since scoring 26 in a loss to San Benito on Jan. 7, 2013.
 The Cowboys could have ruined Palma's bid for perfection in the Gabilan Division. Instead, they sat back and left us scratching our heads.
