The Lobos got a home game for the Northern California basketball playoffs, hosting West Hills on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
West Hills came into the week ranked No. 14 in Northern California at 19-9, going 7-5 in the Central Valley Conference.
MPC finished in a tie for second in the Coast Conference South with a 6-4 mark, going 17-10 overall behind the states 10th leading scorer in Soledad High grad Felicia Villarruel.
The sophomore guard is averaging 18.9 points a game for the Lobos while teammate Alex Sierra sits at 13.8 points a night. Darjhian Tennant and Kyana Rivera are also scoring options.
The Lobos defense has to contain West Hills sharpshooting guard Samantha Earl, who is averaging 15.8 points a game.
MPC is 9-3 at home this year, and went 2-1 against teams in the Central Valley Conference, losing only to 27-3 Sequoias.
