An 18-day layoff between games meant a road trip to the bay area to get reacquainted.

Before the Christmas Break, the Pirates had closed 2014 by going 4-1.
While Stevenson won't sneak up on opponents this year, it doesn't always get mentioned in the same breath as the reigning four-time MTAL champion Padres or Pacific Grove.
It arguably has one of the better pure shooters in the MTAL in Matt Chodosh. This is a team that has scored 80 or more points twice.

Matt is the leading scorer, but it is for other reasons, like his driving ability, rather than his ability as a shooter.
