What has happened to the defending MTAL champion Breakers?
Expectations were soaring before the year started. And with good reason. Three of the teams top five scorers were back.
 A summer in Australia seemed to have strengthened the bond among players.
 Opening the year 4-1 solidified that.
 Yet, a collective scoring slump has ensued since Christmas. Pacific Grove is 2-4 in its last six games, falling in its MTAL opener at home on Wednesday.
 Now comes the big test.
 How will this group respond under adversity on the road tonight in King City?
 The talent on this roster didn't disappear. The parts are still there. But the confidence has clearly been shaken.
 Pacific Grove has failed to score 40 or more points in five of its last six games. It's time for the leaders to step up. Nothing has been lost yet.
