A new semester may be kicking in.
But it's mid-term week on the court for the Chieftains.
The next two games will be the biggest of the year for Palma, which will be on the road to face Monte Vista on Wednesday and Christopher on Friday.
The only unbeaten team left in the Gabilan Division, the Chieftains are 6-1 overall on the road this year, with the loss coming from Sac-Joaquin Section power St. Mary's of Stockton.
Junior Wyatt Maker has been a beast inside for Palma, using his 6-foot-8 frame to average 13 points a game in the Gabilan Division.
Sophomore Jamaree Bouyea has provided flashes of his ability to dominate a game while Marques Cannon has been a spark off the bench.
During its current four-game winning streak, the Chieftains defense, anchored by senior guard Jack Burlison, has held opponents to an average of 35.1 points a game.
