The last time the Otters dropped two straight games, they rattled off three straight wins.
While I wouldn't call tonight's battle with Dominguez Hills a must win in terms of the Otters (3-4) keeping their postseason hopes alive, it's a game they have to have.
You have to protect your home, where CSUMB is 4-3 this season. And Dominguez Hills is limping into the 'Kelp Bed' at 0-7 in conference play.
CSUMB is 2-2 in games decided by five points or less this year. The problem is those two setbacks have occurred in the CCAA.
While Evan Zeller sparkling on Friday with a 24-point performance, the rest of the squad struggled as the Otters connected on just 38.5 percent from the field.
That's not going to win a lot of games at this level.
