Salinas football

 So will it be another 13 years before we see Salinas in a CCS title game?
 I doubt it.
 No question this was a special group of seniors. True leaders that put together a season full of highlights.
 Someone will have to pick up the mantle next fall.
 But the cupboard is far from bare at Salinas.
 There's a talented core coming back. And there is some talent coming up the ranks.
 Salinas has a system in place.
 After five attempts at reaching the section finals, the Cowboys took a step forward this year.
 A barrier remains in their path. That's incentive enough for the core returning.
