Notre Dame-Branson volleyball

State Northern California Semifinals
Tuesday's match
No. 3 Notre Dame (31-6) at No. 1 Branson, Ross (38-4), 7 p.m.
The Bulls don't need much of an introduction.
If the 38 wins don't get your attention, the five straight trips to the State Division V finals does.
Branson has won 21 straight matches and is undefeated at home. It has swept 30 opponents this year, including all five teams in the postseason.
Three players have compiled over 375 kills this year, including 6-foot-1 junior Carrie Wentzel, who has 458.
Four players stand over 6-feet, including 6-3 junior Grace Roberts-Burbank, who has 380 kills. The Spirits don't have any one over six-feet.
Notre Dame is 12-1 in its last 13 matches, with the one loss coming from nationally ranked Sacred Heart Cathedral.
The CCS Division V champions pack a punch at the net as well with Nikki DeSerpa, Emily Cunanan and Jennifer Lane while Julia Scattini has solidified the back row.
Notre Dame needed five games to get past University last Saturday, a team Branson swept in the North Coast Section finals.
