Carmel-Monterey boys hoops

For the second time in four days, the two teams will meet on the hardwood -- this time at Monterey.
One of the more underrated players in the county is Carmel junior John Stivers, who has quietly averaged a double-double this year.
The 6-foot-4 Stivers, a two-time Mission Trail Athletic League Player of the Year, is a machine in the paint on defense for Carmel, while spotting up and dropping mid-range jumpers offensively.
The Padres will get another look at sophomore Kobe Ordonio, who lit up the Carmel gym in three tournament games last week. Matthew Wright could be back on the floor for Monterey.
The Toreadores won the first battle 57-45 last Saturday.
