Stephen Dorsey

 Stephen Dorsey made his choose of sports, agreeing to play basketball next fall at Sonoma State.
 No doubt the 6-foot-3 Monterey Peninsula College forward can jump through a roof. His dunks can be highlight reels.
 But I can't help but wonder if track and field still isn't in his future.
 Dorsey sat out both sports last year.
 But as a freshman at MPC, Dorsey won the state decathlon title, learning events on the fly after arriving late from an extended basketball season.
 A two-time prep state meet qualifier in the high jump at Monterey, Dorsey still has a big upside in track, should he choose to return to the sport in the spring at MPC.
 But it won't happen for the next two seasons because Sonoma State does not have a track program.
