Football picks

No rhyme or reason, but an 8-2 record has me approaching the century mark in wins at 91-22.
Thursday's game
San Benito vs. North Salinas at Rabobank: The Balers are 10-2 over the last three seasons in November. Pick: San Benito.
Friday's games
Alvarez vs. Palma at Rabobank. A healthy Emilio Martinez will make a difference this week for the Chieftains. Pick: Palma.
Gonzales at King City. It's been 11 years since Gonzales beat the Mustangs in the oldest rivalry in the county. Pick: King City.
Greenfield at Soledad. The Aztecs are 4-1 in their last five games. Greenfield has lost 10 straight road games. Pick: Soledad.
Stevenson vs. Marina at MPC. The Mariners have lost their last two games in the final minute by a combined four points. Pick: Stevenson.
Saturday's games
Pacific Grove at Carmel. I see a lot of points. Ultimately, turnovers will turn the momentum in one direction. Pick: Carmel.
Monterey at Seaside. For just the third time in 15 years, Seaside won't have a winning season. Pick: Monterey.
Alisal at North County. The Condors and their five game improvement in the win column are not out of the postseason picture yet. Pick: North County.
West Hills vs. Hartnell at Rabobank. Two of the states highest scoring teams are a combined 17-1. with West Hills being 9-0. Pick: Hartnell.
Reedley at Monterey Peninsula. All three of the Lobos wins this year have come at home. Pick: Reedley.
