Monterey football

At some point, a coach can only preach so much about discipline before it gets tuned out.
Now it's on the players at Monterey.
Two losses this fall can be traced back to mental mistakes.
You can't commit two unsportsmanlike penalties and give an opponent 30 yards before it snaps the ball again in a tie game in the fourth quarter.
 That's deflating.
You can't get away with mental blunders in tight games against playoff caliber teams. You just can't.
The Toreadores are going to the playoffs, likely ticketed for Division III. But if it wants an extended run, it has got to clean up the mistakes that occur when the ball isn't snapped.
