CCS Division IV playoffs
King City (21-8) at Menlo (19-14), 7 p.m.
The Knights were co-champions of the West Bay Foothill League with Harker, going 9-1, closing the year with a four-game winning streak.
King City is making its 32nd playoff appearance in the last 33 years. It is also taking the longest bus ride of the postseason to Atherton.
As a team Menlo has compiled 981 kills this season, 285 from 6-foot-1 hitter Lida Vandermeer, who also has 233 digs.
Menlo's roster has seven girls over 5-11. The Mustangs will have to rely on getting touches at the net and the defense of libero Brianna Ortiz, who has over 200 digs this fall.
The Knight have won seven CCS Division IV titles, with the last coming in 2008. King City won a CCS Division II title in 1990 en route to reaching the state championships.
