Playmaking guard E.J. Rowland has continued from where he left off last year, leading international power Banvit in assists at 4.9 in the Turkish Basketball League.
The 6-foot-3 Palma High graduate is also averaging 9.8 points a game for Banvit in the regular season, but a team high 15.4 points in the EuroCup, where the team is 4-1 through five games.Rowland, who helped take Hartnell College to a state tournament and St. Mary’s to an NCAA tournament, was the VTB United League MVP in 2013 and the Latvian Basketball League playoff MVP in 2013.
