Soledad-Marina football

Friday's game
Soledad (3-3) vs. Marina (0-6) at MPC, 7:30 p.m.
The biggest difference with Soledad is quarterback Fernando Longoria, who looks more like he did two years ago as a sophomore.
The senior has been efficient in throwing the ball and productive when called upon to run it, having accounted for nine touchdowns this fall.
Some what overlooked has been the Aztecs defense. Anchored by Eric Martinez and Samuel Garcia, the defense has held five teams to 21 points in the first half.
Marina is still looking for its first points of the season in the first half, having been outscored 103-0.
Unable to establish the ground game, the Mariners have just two offensive touchdowns this fall. Last season Marina shattered school records for points.
