Monterey volleyball

Talk about a team that has flown under the radar.
At one point this year, Monterey wasn't even listed in the standings in one on-line publication.
Yet, the Toreadores have quietly gone out and gone undefeated in the Pacific Division at the half way point at 6-0, sweeping five opponents.
 Of course, no one will mistake the Pacific Division for being a power league. But Monterey is 14-5 overall this year. In other words, it's playing good volleyball.
 Sasha Krnic has hammered opponents on the outside this fall while Anastasia Radko has solidified the defense in the back row.
 While the two leaders of this unit are seniors, the core of contributors is not. It is a program on the rise and chasing its first league title since 2009.
