The Trojans have endured growing pains this fall offensively, having been held to six points or less in five games.
Injuries have also slowed progress this year for Alisal, who has been outscored 91-16 in the second quarter. Nearly half of their offensive point total on the season came in one game this year.
Monte Vista's only two setbacks are to teams a combined 12-2 this year. D'Shawn Hopkins has piled up nearly 700 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns.
Quarterback Ryan Sphon has thrown for 700 yards, with half of his 64 completions going to receiver Mustafaa Majeed.
