If King City wants to get back into the Mission Trail Athletic League title chase, it will have to come on the road, beginning tonight at Santa Catalina.
The Mustangs, who shared the league crown last year with Santa Catalina and Carmel, have already suffered league home losses to both teams.
Sandwiched in between those two losses have been six sweeps. King City has actually dropped just one match on the road this year, that coming at Notre Dame.
Swept for the first time this year by MTAL leader Carmel, the Cougars bounced back with a win on Tuesday.
Despite four freshmen on the court at times, this has not been a rebuilding year as Tatumn Satow has picked Santa Catalina up, leading the team in kills and digs.
King City has turned to Marlene Morales for a presence at the net, as she has fed off passes from Maria Deniz.
