Football picks

No rhyme or reason, but humbled after a 7-4 record leaves the overall mark at 65-17.
Friday's games
Salinas vs. Palma at Rabobank: This will be a possession game where the trenches dictate the tempo. Pick: Palma
North Salinas at Monterey: How much of a hangover effect will Monterey have after seeing its bit for perfection end last week? Pick: Monterey.
Soledad vs. Marina at MPC: The Mariners just can not get their offense out of first gear. Pick: Soledad.
Seaside at San Benito: Three straight last second losses have the Balers 3-4 instead of 6-1. Pick: San Benito.
Christopher at Alisal: The Cougars better enjoy this run through the Pacific Division. Pick: Christopher
Carmel at Greenfield. The winless Bruins have held leads in four games this year. Pick: Carmel.
Pacific Grove at Gonzales. Dating back to last year, the Breakers have won eight straight regular season road games. Pick: Pacific Grove.
Stevenson at King City. The Mustangs have kept me from perfection twice this year. Pick: King City.
Saturday's games
Pajaro Valley at North County: The Condors might be the most improved team in the area from day one. Pick: North County.
Hartnell at MPC. The way these teams throw the ball, it could be a four hour game. Pick: Hartnell.
