Soledad-Alvarez

Friday's game
Soledad at Alvarez, 7:30 p.m.
The Eagles could be one of the more dangerous teams in the county this fall. Not only do they feel like they have something to prove, but there are 15 starters back from last years 11 win team.
Edric Gamble and Ceasar Ramirez both rushed for over 1,000 yards last fall and combined for 32 touchdowns on the ground. Gamble also threw for nearly 700 yards.
Soledad missed the postseason last year for the first time in two years, going 5-5. Two of its losses were by four points or less.
Quarterback Fernardo Longoria has started the last two seasons for Soledad, throwing for over 1,400 yards as a sophomore in 2012.
Alvarez is big and physical in the trenches. The two teams have never played.
