Projected finishes

Projected finishes
Gabilan Division
1. Monterey: The tools to make a title run are there if the Dores can unit as one and erase the demons of failing to hold second half leads the last two years against Palma.
2. Palma: How do you go against a team that's never lost a Gabilan Division game, particularly with  a suffocating defense?
3. San Benito: Do not be mislead by the fact that the Balers lost over 80 percent of their offense from last year's Division I finalist team.
4. Alvarez: For all the records the Eagles established last year, this is still a team with a chip on their shoulders. Which is what you need in this league
5. Salinas: Weathering the storm of a brutal non-league schedule will test this teams mental makeup.
6. Seaside: The strength of this team will be in the trenches. Now can the Spartans rediscover their running game this fall?
7. North Salinas: A new coach in a power league with practically a new cast of players. Be patient with your new coach.

Pacific Division
 1. Christopher: Some might argue that the Cougars underachieved last fall. That won't be the case this year.
 2. Monte Vista: A lot of skilled athletes are back this year. Can they build chemistry with a new quarterback to make a playoff push?
 3. Alisal: Learning a new system with no spring practice could take some time to grasp fully. Can everyone get on the same page this fall?
 4. Gilroy: How do you replace 2,300 rushing yards from one player? Look for this team to return to a more potent passing attack.
 5. North County: The last time the Condors were 0-10, they rebounded and went 10-0. Lets hope the black helmets aren't a jinx.
 5. Pajaro Valley: For just the second time in the programs short history, the Grizzlies are coming off a .500 season.
 7. Watsonville: Closed last season with four straight losses, being outscored 161-23. That will not occur this fall.

MTAL
 1. Carmel: To many offensive weapons along with an improved defense to keep the Padres from a seventh straight league title.
 2. King City: Remember, this team was one play from closing the year with six straight wins. And the core is back.
 3. Pacific Grove: More of an emphasis will fall on the running game this fall. The defense will have to be better to compete for supremacy.
 4. Soledad: With a three-year starting quarterback in the fold, the Aztecs have got to re-establish their passing game to contend for a playoff spot.
 5. Stevenson: Back-to-back six win seasons have come with nine game schedules. The strength of this team is its defense.
 6. Gonzales: There's an attitude adjustment at Gonzales and a larger freshman turnout. That's a start in the right direction.
 7. Marina: There's no more talk about whether Marina should have a football team. But can they take the next step and climb into the upper echelon of the MTAL?
 8. Greenfield: If the Bruins can re-discover their ground game and control the clock, they can be competitive.
