Michael Jensen closed out his season for the Chicago Cubs Advanced Class A team in Daytona, striking out 62 hitters in 60 innings of work this year.
Having fully recovered from an elbow injury, the former Salinas High and Hartnell College All-American hurler was 7-4 overall with a 2.85 earned run average.
Used primarily as a starter for the Cubs Daytona farm team, Jensen’s fastball has been clocked in the mid 90’s. A promotion to Double A next spring is likely.
