The former Palma and MPC quarterback finished his second season in the Arena Football League with the Iowa Barnstormers.
Reader played in 12 games, starting one, throwing for 858 yards and 17 touchdown passes. He completed 61.1 percent of his passes, finishing with a quarterback rating of just under 100.
