You can make an argument that Salinas has the most difficult schedule as all 10 teams it faces made the playoffs last fall, including two CCS divisional champions and one section finalist.
A game of interest comes on Sept. 19 when the Cowboys invade Division IV state runner-up Sacred Heart Prep of Atherton for a rare 3:30 p.m. Friday kickoff.
Salinas also has a meeting at Terra Nova (Sept. 26), who was 10-0 in the regular season last fall, and will look to snap a 10-game losing streak to perennial power Palma on Oct. 24.
