Watsonville-North Salinas baseball

This is uncharted waters for the Vikings baseball program.
Perhaps that's not such a bad thing.
Being oblivious to the pressures of chasing a title have helped North Salinas down the stretch.
A Pacific Division title is within their grasp on Wednesday when the Vikings host Watsonville.
Redemption will also be on the minds of North Salinas, whose only blemish in league play when the  week started came at home against the Wildcatz.
Pitching has carried the Vikings during a current six-game winning streak, as the staff has combined for five shutouts, including a 12 strikeout, one-hitter from Joseph Gutierrez.
The bats have also sizzled. Justyn Gutierrez is coming off a career high five-hit game while Zachary Foster and David Dorr have continued to spray the ball around the field.
Since falling to North Salinas, the Wildcatz have rattled off 10 consecutive league wins with Ryan Olmeda having driven in 28 runs this spring.
