The Monterey High graduate has made the most of his promotion to the Orioles Class A team in Fredrick Keys of the Carolina League.
The left-handed swinging Herbst is hitting .351 in his first 16 games for Fredrick Keys, having driven in eight runs and scored eight. He has hit safely in his last five starts.
A fleet outfielder, Herbst was chosen in the 26th round by Baltimore in 2012 out of Santa Clara University.
