Seaside track

Have the Spartans evolved as a threat to Monterey in the Pacific Division?
People forget that Seaside is the defending boys league champions.
And the Spartans appear to be getting healthy at the right time, as evident by them finishing second in the boys division at the Alisal Invitational last week.
Cordell Reed, a section finalist last year in the 100 meters, looked sharp in winning both the 100 and 200 at the Alisal Invitational.
Paul Koenig will be a double threat at the league finals in the 400 and 300 intermediate hurdles while Jose Gonzales could produce points in all three distance races.
If Seaside is going to make a run at repeating the feat, it's going to have to find a way to manufacture points in the field events, where depth has been an issue.
