Salinas baseball

You can learn a lot about a group of players when they face adversity.
Salinas had a nail in the coffin last week, stuck in a five-game losing streak.
 Hold off on those eulogies.
Whether it's a rebirth or a resurgence, the Cowboys have climbed back into the postseason chase with a four-game winning streak.
Salinas played with a sense of urgency last week.
Simply put, its season was on the line.
Oh, the Cowboys aren't out of the woods. But they are at .500 in the Gabilan Division and sitting in a tie for third place going into Tuesday's game at Gilroy.
The top three teams in the Gabilan Division earn automatic playoff spots.
Salinas did it with clutch hitting and late game dramatics, winning three of those four games by one run.
It also erupted for a season high 12 runs in a win over Palma, six coming off the hot bat from Nate Jones.
Yet, for as big as last week was, this week might be bigger. Salinas has three more league games prior to the Easter Break. Momentum is crucial for the stretch run.
