When Nicole Hermosillo-Wright won the girls high point trophy at the King City Invitational last Saturday for North Salinas, she joined elusive company -- namely her dad.
Twenty-two years earlier Mike Wright was the boys high point winner for North County in 1992 at the King City Invitational.
Ironically both have a knack for soaring in the air.
Wright still has one of the Top 10 marks in the long jump in Monterey County history at 23-9 1/2.
His daughter is among the top jumpers in the county this spring at 17-3.
