CCS All-Time Track Marks

We've had our share of track and field stars come through the county over the last 50 years.
Some like Darlene Tulua of Carmel in the discus and Calvin Harrison of North Salinas in the 200 and 400 meters still hold Central Coast Section records.
One of the older marks that remain among the Top 25 include Pacific Grove's Johnny Johnson's leap of 25-4 3/4 in the long jump in 1965, still No. 2 all-time.
Then there's 2000 Monterey grad Sani Roseby, who is ranked in the Top 25 in five different girls events.
Five county athletes are ranked in the Top 25 in the boys 200, including former NFL players Bashir Levingston of Seaside and Anthony Toney of North Salinas.
Of the 16 events in boys and girls track and field, 12 have county athletes ranked in the Top 25.
Fourteen different county schools are represented in the Top 25 with North Salinas having the most athletes with 11, followed by Monterey with seven, Seaside with six and Salinas with five.
The last athlete to sprint into the Top 25 came in 2013 when Seaside's Jayla Schols moved into No. 24 all time in the girls 100 meters.
Here is a list of former local athletes ranked in the Top 25 in the CCS all-time list in their respective events.
