The two former Palma High products are making an impact in their first seasons for the St. Mary's baseball team.
Neff is 5-4 on the mound for the 13-22 Gaels with a 4.50 earned run average. The 6-foot-4 freshmen hurler has three complete games and 45 strikeouts in 54 innings.
Valentin has made 23 starts for St. Mary's in the infield, hitting .270.
The sophomore has knocked in eight runs and scored 12. He is also second in stolen bases and has yet to commit an error in the field.
