The former Carmel High flame thrower has compiled 142 strikeouts in 87 1/3 innings of work for Emory College in Atlanta.
File has made 27 appearances for Emory, having started 16 games. The freshman is 10-5 overall with two saves and a 2.89 earned run average.
File was a three-time member of The Herald's All-County softball team and among the state leaders in strikeouts last season.
