The Tennessee freshmen is hitting .397 for the 22-2 Vols with a team high 21 runs batted in. Aldrete is second on the team in hits (25) and doubles (7).
Aldrete, who broke the county's all-time home run record at Santa Catalina, has three homers for Tennessee, and has yet to commit an error in 59 chances behind the dish.
Former Santa Catalina teammate Alex Pingree is 4-0 with one save at the University of Santa Barbara.
The sophomore hurler sports a 2.86 earned run average with 20 strikeouts in 36 innings of work for the Gauchos.
