San Benito-Monterey baseball

 Put a run on the scoreboard and the Toreadores have been unbeatable.
 Literally.
 Monterey is 4-0 this year when it scores a run, 0-2 when it doesn't.
 A shot at redemption heats up today when the Toreadores host San Benito, who blanked them 4-0 last Friday.
 Manufacturing runs with its speed and aggressiveness on the bases has ignited Monterey's offense.
 And while Monterey worked San Benito pitching for six walks, it couldn't generate a run in its last outing.
 Romie Miramontes, a four-year varsity player, has reached base in five of the Toreadores six games while Gavin Jarvis has had three multiple hit games.
 Connor Fabing has an RBI in each of the Balers first three Gabilan Division games, including a two-run homer in the seventh inning in their opener against Gilroy.
