But four straight league games without allowing a run -- or 29 straight innings - is an impressive stat the Balers pitching staff has put together in Gabilan Division play.
Hunter Haworth, who likely gets the ball today at Palma, has been the ace of the Baler staff with 17 strikeouts in his last two outings.
The 6-foot-2 senior also shut down Valley Christian earlier this year and has allowed one run in 22 2/3 innings all season.
It doesn't hurt pitching with leads and the Balers are pounding the ball in league with 43 runs in six games. Dylan Yamasaki, Connor Fabing and Junior Rodriguez have all hit homers.
