Salinas-North Salinas track

 The Vikings were impressive in a season opening win over North County in the boys division last week, relying on their depth.
 It's no secret where North Salinas' strength starts as Mario Gonzales is among the elite throwers in the CCS in the shot and discuss.
 Teammate Isaiah Russell will be a factor in the sprints. Salinas will turn to distance ace Trent Storm, who was a double event winner last week in the 800 and 1,600.
 Getting Nicole Hermosillo-Wright back for the sprints helps North Salinas in the girls division along with Elizabeth Alcala in the throws.
 But Salinas' depth in the distance events is imposing, particularly with the return of Leah Meuter and Malena Grover.
