For the first time in nearly two decades, Stevenson has a new manager in the dugout after the passing last fall of Paul Wilcox.
 The Wilcox  name still has command of the dugout, though, as his son Nick has taken the reins when the Pirates open the Mission Trail Athletic League season today against Pacific Grove.
 The two teams played four times last spring with the Breakers ending Stevenson's run in the playoffs in the Division III semifinals, en route to a second straight CCS title and a perfect season.
 Ironically, that was the last game Paul Wilcox would coach.
 While Pacific Grove's run of 39 straight wins ended last weekend, it still has a streak of 20 straight MTAL wins on the line.
 Ironically, the last MTAL team to beat the Breakers was Stevenson 3-1 on May 2 of 2012.
