Menlo-Atherton-North Salinas girls hoops

This is the moment North Salinas has been waiting for.
Eight members from last year's team were a part of a heartbreaking playoff opening loss in the quarterfinals last season.
A year is a long time to erase the past.
Making amends starts today when the No. 2 seeded Vikings quest for a Division I title heats up.
The reigning two-time Gabilan Division champions face a squad that was third in the Peninsula Athletic League's upper division.
The Bears are a young team with just one senior on the roster and three freshmen seeing significant playing time.
Alyssa Springs has evolved into one of the premier players in the county, averaging just under 17 points a game for North Salinas, who is 16-0 in 2014.
Nicole Hermosillo has become a solid second option while Monae Hobson has knocked down 30-point goals. Sophomore Jorydn Enos is a playmaker and another scoring threat.
The last time North Salinas and Menlo-Atherton battled in the postseason, the Vikings won the CCS Division I title with a 51-31 win 2010.
