Inserted into the leadoff role for a series against Nevada, Stephen Ventimilia went 6-for-13 in three games for Hawaii, raising his batting average to .345 on the season.
Ventimilia, a Monterey High graduate, has scored seven runs in eight starts this year for Hawaii. He sports a .900 fielding percentage at second base.
Former King City High and Hartnell College disciple Marc Flores is hitting .261 for Hawaii, having driven in a team high 12 runs.
