The freshmen hurler made an auspicious debut for Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, striking out 16 in her college debut – the second highest total in school history.
File, who spent four years throwing strikes for Carmel High, also picked up a win in relief. In two appearances, she has 23 strikeouts in 13 innings, sporting an 0.54 earned run average.
